Thames Training, based in Staines, was founded in response to demand for Spanish for leisure at companies in and around London.
The partners have taught Spanish for agencies and institutions and know how frustrating it can be to learn a foreign language in a large group that inevitably does not go at your pace. Small groups or individual tailor-made study is a vital factor in making Spanish easier.
We believe that learning a language should be fun as well as practical. We follow the Communicative Method and include a firm grounding in grammar. Grammar is the vital structure to enable you to say what you want, rather than what the phrase books say. If the lessons are interesting, learning is easy.
The two partners are Maria and Paul Glynn. Maria is a qualified native tutor to adults with experience spanning over 20 years. Paul is the Curriculum manager for Thames Training, was the first Spanish tutor for the partnership and is also TESOL qualified.
